Summary and scope

The Better Bores for Communities will provide better access to safe and reliable water in Northern Territory Aboriginal Communities. This will support the health of these remote communities and improve liveability1. This project is funded by both the Australia Government and Northern Territory Government. Australian Government funding is provided through the National Water Grid Fund (NWGA).The Better Bores for Communities program brings forward an opportunity to jointly support improving water security in the highest risk remote Aboriginal communities across the Territory. This enables confidence in water supply to unlock development and support community aspirations. The communities are in remote locations across the Northern Territory. Better Bores for Communities Phase 1 National Water Grid AuthorityPower and Water intend to engage qualified Hydrogeological Consultancies to assist with the delivery of the Better Bores for Communities program. These contractors will form the hydrogeologists panel.
