The Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water (DCCEEW) is seeking qualified contractors for the **Upper Darling Salt Interception Scheme (SIS) Disposal Basin Works (SR01172)**. This project aims to restore the operational capacity of the disposal basin embankments, which were commissioned in 2012 and currently suffer from reduced service levels.
### ๐ ๏ธ Scope of Work
The successful bidder will be responsible for the comprehensive repair and reinstatement of earthen embankments. Key tasks include:
* **Project Management:** Development of WHS, environmental, and quality management plans.
* **Site Investigations:** Conducting geotechnical assessments and service locating (BYDA).
* **Construction:** Site mobilization, provision of amenities, construction of haul roads, and stripping/stockpiling of topsoil.
### ๐ Requirements & Qualifications
* **Scheme Membership:** Bidders must be members of the **Construction Scheme (SCM0256)** for works up to $1 million.
* **Mandatory Pre-Tender Meeting:** A site visit is required on **12th May 2026 at 11:00 AM** (37km via Louth Road, southwest of Bourke, NSW). Attendance must be confirmed 3 business days prior.
* **Documentation:** Tenderers must provide comprehensive responses to the provided RFT documents, including WHS, environmental, and quality control plans.
