### 🌲 Project Overview The Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water (DCCEEW) is seeking qualified contractors for the **Fire Access & Fire Trails (FAFT) Upgrades** at Kilmores Fire Trail, located within Hat Head National Park. This project involves essential repairs and upgrades to a 10km road corridor to ensure full compliance with Rural Fire Service (RFS) standards. ### 🛠 Scope of Work The successful contractor will be responsible for comprehensive road improvement activities, including: * **Road Surface Upgrades:** Maintenance grading, excavation, and re-sheeting to rectify boggy or sandy sections. * **Infrastructure Construction:** Installation of passing bays (every 250m) and turnaround bays (every 500m). * **Drainage & Stability:** Clearing sediment from culverts, re-establishing drainage, and installing geofabric or cobblestone in specific areas. * **Site Management:** Vegetation clearing, gravel delivery, and site mobilization/demobilization. ### 📋 Requirements & Qualifications * **Mandatory Scheme Membership:** Bidders must be members of the **SCM0256 Construction Scheme** for works up to $1 million. * **Mandatory Pre-Tender Meeting:** A site meeting is scheduled for **13th May 2026 at 1:00 PM** at Borefields Fire Trail, South West Rocks.
