Summary and scope

EXPRESSION OF INTEREST The Mine Project is seeking expressions of interest from appropriately qualified and experienced suppliers of animal pest management services. Summary of Scope of Work: Contractors are to develop and implement Animal Control Procedures applicable to species identified in Table 1: Table 1: Animal pest species identified as requiring control within the Stage 1 area Scientific Name Common Name Canis familiaris Wild Dog Capra hircus Wild Goat Felis catus Wild Cat Oryctolagus cuniculus European Rabbit Sus scrofa Wild Pig Vulpes vulpes Red Fox The Animal Control Procedures will include (but not be limited to): • Demonstrated contractor knowledge of site specific terrain and feral animal populations and control of such (See Table 1 above); • Procedures for identifying individual animal pest species within areas demarked for treatment; • A list of control techniques to be utilised for each type of pest animal. • Pest control activities to be undertaken in compliance with the Weed and Pest Management Plan • Measures for recording (GPS) the controlled animal pests as a direct outcome of implementing animal pest control activities. Pest animal controls will need to comply with the Animal Care and Protection Act 2001, specifically Sections 34, 41 and 42 and the relevant Codes of Practice listed in Schedule 1 of the Animal Care and Protection Regulation 2002. Example of contract deliverables with the awarded contractor required are as follows: • Development and have approved by Adani, Pest Animal Control Procedures specific to each pest type listed above • Undertake field control activities including capturing records of controlled pest animals (GIS format- location and type of pest) • Submission of a Pest Animal Management Report detailing works planned and executed in accordance with the final contract scope of work PLEASE NOTE: It shall be noted that this is an EOI only and the complete detailed scope of work shall be provided during the tender phase to selected EOI respondents.
