Summary and scope
The South West Sport Centre fire system has been determined to be non-compliant and requires rectification in order to meet Australian Standard 2419 and DFES requirements. This issue became apparent when DFES attempted to use the building system to protect the Centre during a recent fire in the adjacent reserve. There is a lack of water pressure and volume to the location with no additional supply from Aqwest available therefore tanks and fire hydrant lines are now required to be upgraded in order to facilitate the required flows. Please refer to RFT1920/030 and Appendix A,B and C PLEASE DO NOT PLACE AN EXPRESSION OF INTEREST UNLESS YOU CAN PROVIDE ALL OF THE REQUIREMENTS. BLANTANT SALES PITCHES FOR FENCING, SITE AMMENITY ETC WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED OR PASSED ON TO LEAD CONTRACTORS THAT ARE AWARDED THE PROJECT
