Summary and scope
The Greater Dandenong Aquatic Strategy was adopted by Council on 23 September 2019, after extensive research and consultation was undertaken to develop a municipal wide solution to the provision of aquatic facilities. The Strategy recommends a new aquatic and leisure centre in Dandenong to replace the existing Dandenong Oasis and a redevelopment of NPAC to include an expanded range of year-round services. These recommendations are based on the vision to get “more people, more active, more often” and are supported by the following guiding principles: • Enhancing community health and wellbeing. • Maximising equity and access. • Facilitating Social Connection. • Providing High Quality Facilities. • Creating Financially Sustainable Outcomes. The new Dandenong aquatic and leisure centre will be a multi-purpose aquatic and leisure facility offering all year-round services with a focus on allied health, passive activity, education, fitness and wellness and catering for special needs and targeted groups. All enquiries regarding the EOI process or the Contract must be directed to Council via the City of Greater Dandenong / Vendor Panel website Question section. Tenderers are advised that the Principal will not process any requests for EOI clarification that are received within four working days prior to the Closing Time and Date for Lodgement of Tenders
