Council has adopted the following four stage process for preparing the new planning scheme: Stage 1 Strategy July 2020 – June 2022 Stage 2 Drafting July 2022 – December 2023 Stage 3 Stakeholder review (statutory) January - December 2024 Stage 4 Change management July 2020 – May 2025 The objective of stage 1 is to set a clear vision and policy framework for the new planning scheme before the drafting of specific scheme provisions commences by undertaking a series of strategically focused studies.
