Summary and scope
TRC is currently completing a long-term project to aid in water security for the Toowoomba Region, replacing sections of the Perseverance Watermain over a multi-year period. Stage 3 of the project will commence in March 2021 and last approximately 6 months while Stage 4 will be completed during 2022 (start date TBA). Approximately 5km each year (10km total) will be replaced. The existing main to be replaced is a 675mm prestressed concrete pipe. TRC’s goal is to have the existing pipe recycled. The existing pipes may be used and damaged, and in some instances repaired. Tenderers must dispose of all residue and materials appropriately as part of this contract.
