The Barcoo Shire Council owns three community caravan parks (Jundah, Stonehenge and Windorah) and is looking at options for operating and developing the facilities either individually or collectively that will generate a reasonable financial return yet also provide an enjoyable experience to caravanners (at reasonable rates) and become an attractive recreational facility for the local community. In addition to the three Caravan Parks, Council also owns a Roadhouse in the town of Jundah, which Council would consider combining with the caravan park operations or being undertaken as a separate operation. In order to reach a successful lease agreement solution, the Council is open to negotiate with shortlisted tenderers, so a mutually beneficial outcome is achieved for both parties.
