Carpentaria Shire Council invites tenders from suitably qualified tenderers for the upgrade of the existing concrete floodway at Dunbar Creek on Dunbar Kowanyama Road, which is described in more detail in Part 5 – Scope. Dunbar Creek is located approximately 270km from Normanton and 90km from Kowanyama. The crossing through Dunbar Creek is currently a low level concrete floodway which is to be removed and replaced with concrete box culverts and a concrete running surface to improve flood immunity and safety of the crossing.
