Summary and scope
To comply with our employer and building owner obligations under the Occupational Health & Safety Act 2004, the Alpine Shire has a responsibility to test each piece of portable electrical equipment, appliances, cords, power boards, RCD’s, battery chargers, transformers and portable/transportable heavy duty tools on a regular basis to ensure that they are safe for use. We are seeking to contract a suitably qualified and experienced organisation to carry out our testing and tagging program for all equipment in our premises, in line with the requirements of AS3760:2010, for the next three (3) years. These inspections are to determine the condition of these items, detect any wear and tear that may constitute a hazard, and recommend maintenance or replacement action where warranted.
