Summary and scope
Isaac Regional Council currently self-manages the operation and administration of the Greg Cruickshank Aquatic Centre. This requirement seeks a superior operating model to manage and operate the Greg Cruickshank Aquatic Centre. Council’s key priorities include: cost effectiveness, sustainability, a strong customer focus, promotion of the sport of swimming, safety, compliance and the highest levels of infrastructure and amenity management. Council, at its discretion, will retain the management and operation of the GCAC in the event that a superior operating model is not identified among Proponent submissions. It is imperative that Proponent submissions are comprehensive and compliant. Proponents are also encouraged to consider current tenders for the management and operation of aquatic facilities at other sites in the Isaac Region including: Nebo, Dysart, Clermont and Middlemount – an opportunity exists for Proponents to submit proposals for one or more of the sites. The Greg Cruickshank Aquatic Centre is centrally located and adjacent to the Town Square of Moranbah. The facility is positioned on two parcels of land described as Lot 18 and Lot 23 on SP249143, Town of Moranbah.
