Charters Towers Regional Council invites tenders for an experienced livestock contractor to provide safe and efficient handling/movement of stock entrusted to the Dalrymple Saleyards on behalf of Council and Saleyards clientele. Council requires the livestock contractor to manage the livestock passing through the facility. This service entails stock movements within the facility, yarding for pre and post auction sales; stud sales and for live export shipments, feeding, scanning, dipping and animal welfare responsibilities. The contractor is expected to have sufficient staff both permanent and causals to cater for fluctuating numbers. The contractor is also responsible for establishing and managing feed supply arrangements for stock and supply of all necessary equipment and vehicles to deliver the described services.
