Summary and scope
The Opportunity Bounded by the Great Barrier Reef to the east and sandstone wilderness in the west, Livingstone Shire is located within the Fitzroy Region of Central Queensland and covers 11,800 square kilometres on the Capricorn Coast. The major urban townships of Yeppoon and Emu Park are where the majority of the population reside, our beautiful rural areas include Byfield, Cawarral, The Caves, Stanage, Marlborough, Glenlee and Glendale. Council Services a population of 36,000. Our major industries include retail, tourism, education and training, health care and social assistance, construction and agriculture. Currently Yeppoon West Booster Pump Station is unable to provide the minimum desired standards of service to recently developed areas such as Millers Place. To service the Inverness water supply area Council proposes to construct Inverness BPS. This will remove current and future demand from Yeppoon West BPS and separate the water supply areas into two separate high zone areas. Ultimately the construction will support the water supply network to the ratepayers of the locality and maintain a level of service they are entitled to. Objective Livingstone Shire Council is seeking responses to this Invitation to Tender for 2021.010 – Inverness Booster Pump Station as per specification. The purpose of this ITT process is to assess the ability of Tenderers to complete the Works in accordance with all relevant Australian Standards. The Councils’ requirements in relation to the Works are set out in Section 2 of this Invitation (Technical Specification).
