Provision of Waste Collection Services

Summary and scope

Gladstone Regional Council requires the services of a suitably qualified and experienced waste management contractor to, within the Gladstone Regional Council local government area, undertake: • The collection of Waste and Recyclable Waste from: o Domestic Premises in the Collection Areas; o Council facilities nominated by Council in Schedule 14 of the Contract and by Direction of Council; o Public Places nominated by Council in Schedule 13 of the Contract and by Direction of Council; and o the subsequent transport of Waste and Recyclable Waste collected in accordance with the above to a Nominated Disposal Location using such Personnel, Collection Vehicles, Equipment and other items required to perform the Services in accordance with this Contract. • Where nominated or directed by Council, the: o Collection of Waste and Recyclable Waste from Infirm Premises; o Collection of Waste and Recyclable Waste from Multi-Unit Premises; o Collection of Waste and Recyclable Waste from Commercial Premises; o Provision of return to premises services where Domestic Waste and Domestic Recyclable Waste collection services under clause 2.1.1(a)(i) do not occur for any reason, including the fault of the resident, parked cars or tree obstruction; o Provision of additional Waste and Recyclable Waste collection services where premises are already in receipt of a Domestic, Commercial or Multi-Unit Waste and Recyclable Waste collection service; o Collection of Waste or Recyclable Waste during and after special events run or sponsored by Council; o Collection of Liquid Waste, Clinical and Regulated Waste and Confidential Waste from Council facilities; and o Provision of dead animal collection services; • The supply and maintenance of new Containers and hire and maintenance of Bulk Waste Containers; and • Waste and Recyclable Waste collection services during a Declared Disaster Event.
