Summary and scope
The City of Armadale requires a suitably experienced Contractor to provide efficient and compliant private swimming pool inspection services. A full statement of the goods and/or services required under the proposed contract appears in the Specifications (Part 2). The City of Armadale has approximately 5000 privately owned swimming pools recorded. Each pool must be inspected once in every four (4) year period to comply with the legislative framework which includes Building Act 2011 (the Act), Building Regulations 2012 (the Regulations) and to meet the objectives of Council’s current inspection programme. Approximately 150 new pools and spas are registered within the City each year. To achieve compliance with the Regulations, the Principal would require the Contractor to provide inspection services, on behalf of the City, program resources, maintain and monitor inspection levels at all times, to ensure compliance with the Act and the contractual documentation, for the duration of the contract period.
