Summary and scope
Southern Downs Regional Council (Council) has identified the requirement to undertake the renewal of the raw water pumps and associated pipework at the Leslie Dam Pump Station. Leslie Dam is owned and operated by Sun Water on behalf of the Queensland Government. SDRC owns (excluding civil structures) and operate the pump station. Originally constructed in 1967, the existing Leslie Dam Pump Station employs three (3) pumps to pump water from Leslie Dam to a balance tank located on Leslie Dam Road Warwick QLD 4370. From this balance tank, raw water is gravitated to the Warwick Water Treatment Plant located on the corner of Glen Road and Tooth Street. Due to the pump’s age, it is proposed that the existing pump and switchboard be upgraded to ensure that the supply of water to the Warwick Treatment Plant is uninterrupted, complying with the current relevant standards. Council requires the service of an Experienced Contractor to undertake the design and construction works associated with the raw water pumps renewal including pipework, civil & electrical work and process control.
