Summary and scope
The Nebo Showgrounds host a wide variety of community events throughout the calendar year, providing catering facilities for every occasion. With the assistance of funding being provided by the State Government, Council seeks to address the issue in functionality and capability of the current facilities to service events with high patrol numbers, as well as update the facilities to the required specifications for food service. This project seeks to refurbish both the canteen located at the undercover arena, as well as the outdoor camp-draft arena. This project is designed to deliver canteen facilities only; with basic cooking appliances, similar to a home oven and internal BBQ; with no requirement for the kitchens to be fully serviced. The new design and fit-out of the facilities will be in accordance with the “Design and Fit-out guide for food businesses, State of Queensland (Queensland Health), September 2015” The scope of works is issued under a separable portion basis. Separable Portion A is for the Undercover Canteen. Separable Portion B is for the Outdoor Canteen.
