Summary and scope

The sewer system that services the western/southern portion of Wulguru has capacity issues. The capacity issues have resulted in sewage overflows occurring from the gravity sewer system near the intersection of University Road and Stuart Drive every wet season. To rectify the sewage capacity issues Council has investigated several options to divert sewage out of the existing gravity sewer system and undertake upgrades to the existing sewer system including a diversion rising main and a new sewerage pump station. The work covered under the scope of this contract is concerned with the supply and construction of the Wulguru sewage pump station SC7, including northern gravity sewer and maintenance hole works, connection to pressure sewer main, its appurtenances, pump station access road and other works as described in this job specification, the referenced specifications, as detailed on the design drawings and standard drawings.
