Summary and scope
Isaac Regional Council is seeking submissions for a full-service roadside slashing and boom slashing support to maintain both Council’s local road and sections of the DTMR state-controlled network through to 30 June 2022. Tenderers are reminded that the Request for Tender (RFT) provides an opportunity to secure contracts with Council (Principal) for 2021/22 financial year, with the option to extend for 2022/23 and 2023/24 (effectively a 1 year + 1 year + 1 year arrangement). The Principal reserves the right to extend this Contract for 2022/23 and 2023/24 financial years at the end of this original Contract period. These extensions are at the sole discretion of the Principal. The lengths of road sections (refer to Annexure A – Pricing Schedule) provided may require amendments on site and are an indication only. In consideration of the best interests of the wider community, Council reserves the right to alter the scope of the works by either removing or adding items to suit budget availability and emerging community requirements throughout the delivery of the works. • Respondents are invited to tender for the separable portions independently • Council may award the work as separable portions to individual tenderers or award the entire package to a single respondent. • Tenderers are required to clearly demonstrate within their submission, details of backup resources to complete the various portions of works should they be successful in being awarded one or multiple portions. • Council have included a list of road locations as “Provisional” works. Tenderers are reminded that these specific sections of roads are “not guaranteed” portions of work, but Council may require these portions of work be included pending funding and budget requirements and should allow for this in their price submission.
