Maranoa Regional Council is inviting suitably qualified and experienced contractors to submit a tender on a fixed price contract for the renovation of the Mitchell Administration Centre, 100 Cambridge St, Mitchell Qld 4465. The building was designed and built in the mid-1960s and was considered modern for the time. Asbestos Containing Material (ACM) was used throughout for ceilings, linings and as infill panels to windows. This has proved difficult to maintain and expensive to work around while keeping the building functioning as modern service centre. Council decided to have all Asbestos removed and refurbish the building.
