Tender 122-22 - Subsidence Management - Toolooa Street, Gladstone - Stage 1 and 2

Summary and scope

GRC requires a specialist grouting Contractor to treat the A05 DN250 AC Rising Main in vicinity of Toolooa Street, after it is withdrawn from service and abandoned in late-2022. GRC’s primary objective is to ensure future development and operation of existing infrastructure and assets in vicinity of the abandoned A05 sewer are not impacted by the future effects of subsidence. This project is to be delivered in two stages, with stage 2 dependent on the outcomes of stage 1. Stage 1 - Planning Stage 1 - Planning involves the provision of professional services to GRC to confirm the feasibility, costs and risks associated with grouting as a technical solution. A deliverable of Stage 1 - Planning is a Cost Estimate for Stage - 2 Execution, provided a feasible course of action is identified. GRC will review, consider and if accepted, proceed to then issue a second Purchase Order issued to enable Stage 2 - Execution. GRC is under no obligation to proceed with Stage #2 works, noting one potential outcome of the Planning Stage is that grouting is not a feasible option to treat subsidence; this outcome would lead to the abandonment of Stage 2 Execution. Stage 2 – Execution (Separable Portion 1) Stage 2 – Execution involves the application of grout to the abandoned A05 sewer after it is decommissioned by others.
