Summary and scope
The City of Bunbury requires the services of an experienced Contractor to undertake Bushfire Mitigation works on select City of Bunbury reserves. It is imperative that these works are conducted in accordance with the requirements of the Bush Fires Act 1954 and the Tenderer must also be able to demonstrate an understanding of threatened/priority ecological communities and have systems to ensure these are preserved during deployment of this project. The Department of Fire and Emergency Services (DFES) - Rural Fire Division has supported this risk mitigation activity, through the provision of a Mitigation Activity Funding Grant (MAFGP). The selected treatments are indicated as necessary through that program’s Bushfire Risk Management Program threat analysis.
