Summary and scope

The Moranbah Town Square north west corner is a focal point within the precinct and a convergence point for shoppers, visitors and the community. The site currently incorporates seating, lighting and a water feature which is non-functional. There is no shade or other points of interest in the current landscape. In the 2019/2020 financial year Council approved a concept landscape upgrade design. This has been finalised in the 2021/2022 Financial Year as a Parks and Recreation CAPEX project. Funding has been allocated through the LRCI Program and works will be required to be completed no later than 30 June 2022. Given the key location of the project and the significance for stakeholders and the community, the approved landscape is required to meet the following brief: • Provide shade • Provide seating • Provide vision into surrounding businesses Council wishes to advise all prospective tenderers that due to current demand and supply issues in the market, pending tenders received, works may be staged, and Council will reserve the right to award all or part of the entire works in Separable Portions as per Alternative Offer Price Schedule.
