Tender 1254 - Management of the Lowood Swimming Pool

Summary and scope

This Tender is for the management of the Lowood Swimming Pool. The Lowood Swimming Pool is a publicly accessible pool located on Main Street, Lowood. The facility was constructed around 1980 and includes a heated 8 lane 25m pool. The Lowood Swimming Pool is a seasonal facility that operates between September and April, for 30 weeks annually. Council will be undertaking works to refurbish the Lowood Swimming Pool between April and September The refurbishment works will include the renovation of the existing 25m pool, including the provision of a new ramp, stairs and wet deck gutter, as well as a new filtration and chemical dosing systems, and a new water play area (zero depth) to replace the existing toddler pool. The pool refurbishment works will include the replacement of the current pool shell with a new reinforced concrete tiled pool. A compulsory site inspection will be held on Tuesday, 26 April 2022 at 9am to allow contractors to view the site and clarify any issues. Contractors are to advise if they will be in attendance. Please note that some areas may be inaccessible due to construction works on site.
