This tender related to improvements and widening of existing floodway on Nundubbermere Road which is located at approximate CH 5.5 km. Nundubbermere Road services two large crop growing businesses and often has a number of seasonal workers who are largely unfamiliar with the road. The existing floodway is of single vehicle width, approximately 4 m, which requires vehicles travelling north to give way to those travelling south. Both approaches to this floodway are immediately after curves with reduced sight distance which has the potential to cause crashes. The existing single land road is in reasonable condition. The project involves replacement of existing culvert and widening of floodway and adjoining road to achieve two lane traffic.
