2223-04 Provision of Internal Audit Services

Summary and scope

Council is seeking the provision of Internal Audit services. The provision of the internal audit services for the period 1 October 2022 – 30 September 2025 includes conducting the services to be supplied to support the continuing activities of the Greater Dandenong Council Audit Committee. It is expected that as a minimum tenderers will provide information in relation to the provision of audit services that link corporate objectives with contemporary internal audit practices. Council is now seeking to engage an appropriately qualified internal audit service provider to provide a range of audit reviews and investigations with a view of improving the standards and practices of Councils business processes In preparing a response to this tender, bidders should recognise, but not be limited by, the issues below. It is anticipated that a three-year plan will be developed through consultation with the Audit and Risk Committee. The first stage in the three-year plan will be a review of the current Risk Management Framework and the recent Audit Program to ensure alignment with the major areas of risk management attention.
