Summary and scope
The Dingo and Duaringa Water Treatment Plants (WTPs) are owned, operated, and maintained by Central Highlands Regional Council (CHRC). Both WTPs are of similar age and configurations. Further detail regarding the operation and configuration for each respective site is provided in the following sections. The WTPs are not operating to Council’s standards primarily due to deficiencies with the filters and substandard monitoring and control systems. Council is therefore proposing to upgrade the WTPs to provide improved filtration and overall control through Design and Construct (D&C) contract.
