LVRC-22-42 – Gatton Stormwater Condition Survey 2022

Summary and scope

Council has underground stormwater networks in the towns of Forest Hill, Gatton, Grantham, Helidon, Laidley, Plainland and Withcott. Some of these networks are minimal, whereas some are significant in size (relative to the town). Council has previously surveyed a large percentage of the network, however data confidence in some areas is low and where limited condition assessment has been undertaken. Lockyer Valley Regional Council has an underground urban stormwater network consisting of over 3000 structures and over 80 kilometres of pipes and culverts. In 2019, Council engaged a contractor to undertake inspections and CCTV surveys of the stormwater network in Laidley, Helidon and Withcott. In 2021 a contractor was engaged to survey approximately half of the Gatton stormwater network. This request for quote will focus only on remainder of the Gatton stormwater assets. The objective of the project is to condition assess the Stormwater Assets in Gatton and provide information on the defects that require maintenance. Ultimately, the inspections will form the basis for Council’s forecast of asset renewals. The survey will confirm location and details of assets, and record the same for any assets that are not yet mapped or on the asset register.
