Summary and scope
Douglas Shire Council invites tenders from suitably qualified persons or corporations for leachate carting services from Killaloe Transfer Station and Landfill to Port Douglas Wastewater Treatment Plant as described in more detail in the attached documentation. Note: Leachate carting is based on the operational need and will vary between zero (0) and five (5) days per week 12 months of the year. Council's representative will phone the successful contractor by the Friday before to communicate the number of days required for the following week. Contractors will be paid on an hourly rate, but Key Performance Indicators surrounding safety, environmental controls and value for money (leachate exported) will be strongly enforced throughout the contract.
