Summary and scope
Isaac Regional Council currently manages and operates the Greg Cruickshank Aquatic Centre in Moranbah. Pools at Middlemount, Clermont, Dysart, Glenden, Nebo, St Lawrence and Flaggy Rock are under lease or management agreement with external service providers. One of Council’s core priorities for the provision of aquatic services across the region is that service providers offer a Community Swimming Program. The Program is intended to deliver all or part of learn to swim (infant through to adult), aquatic based exercise and health-based programs and squad as applicable. This requirement seeks a superior operating model to manage and operate the Community Swimming Program at the Greg Cruickshank Aquatic Centre in Moranbah. Council recognises the challenges that the current economic, labour and COVID landscapes present to service providers and to this end, service providers are strongly encouraged to explore the risks to service presented by these challenges. It is imperative that respondent submissions are comprehensive and compliant. Beyond Moranbah, an opportunity exists to present a commercial proposal for the provision of services to Middlemount, Nebo, Dysart, and Clermont Pools as a contingency measure.
