Summary and scope
Douglas Shire Council invites tenders from suitably qualified tenderers for the provision of dredging services at the Daintree River, Qld. Dredging activities are required at least once per year, however extreme weather events can result in it being required more frequently. The contractor will be required to be on-call during the contract period and respond to dredging requests from Council within seven calendar days. Dredging activities must occur on consecutive nights during the permitted hours of 22:00 to 05:00, allowing the ferry to continue to operate from 05:00 each day.
