Summary and scope

Maranoa Regional Council invites suitably qualified and experienced Contractors to submit a fixed price lump sum response, and supporting documentation, for the design and construction (fit out) of the Peter Keegan Museum located at the Big Rig 2 Riggers Road Roma QLD 4455. The project involves the design and complete fit out of the Peter Keegan Museum, including outside the museum to encourage visitors to enter the museum. The existing space has a few displays, and they need to be incorporated into the new design. Community consultation has been completed prior to Council releasing the tender and the focus of this display is the story of the people who work in the Oil and Gas Industry. This story has not been told in the Big Rig and is felt that this would be a great addition to tell Peter Keegan’s story and that of other workers. Queensland Museum has put together a brief of what the museum space is to incorporate and is to be considered when submitting the proposal. The successful Tenderer will be responsible for the design and construct of the Peter Keegan Museum, including the fit out and fit off and engaging all sub-contractors to complete the intent of the project.
