The Opportunity Bounded by the Great Barrier Reef to the east and sandstone wilderness to the west, Livingstone Shire covers 11,800 square kilometres of coastal, rural and rainforest areas on the Capricorn Coast and is one of the most sought-after locations in Central Queensland. Livingstone Shire Council (Council) services a population of 39,000, with major industries including retail, tourism, education and training, health care and social assistance, construction and agriculture. Council has a long-term vision to drive economic growth, create local jobs and increase private sector investment by creating opportunities for new and expanding businesses and industry to establish in the Shire. The Gateway Business and Industry Park (The Gateway) is a six stage master-planned industrial precinct, strategically located between Yeppoon and Rockhampton, and supports Council’s vision by offering premium industrial lots which will be progressively delivered to cater for a rapidly expanding and diverse market. The second half of 2021 was a strong indicator of growth and demand in the region with Council achieving sales on all remaining developed lots within Stages One and Two of The Gateway. In 2022 further sales were achieved across Lots in Stages 2B, 3A and 3B. This Invitation to Tender is seeking offers on Lot 25, in Stage 2C and Lot 30 which is part of Stage 2B at The Gateway Business and Industry Park. Objective Council invites written submissions to this Invitation to Tender for the sale of two industrial lots within The Gateway; Lot 25 and Lot 30. Tender No.2023.011 as per Specification. The purpose of this Invitation to Tender process is to facilitate open and effective competition, support the development of competitive local business and industry, and achieve positive economic outcomes for Council and the Livingstone community. Council’s requirements in relation to submissions are set out in Part 2 of this document (Specifications).
