Summary and scope

Townsville Water and Resource Recovery (WRR) is a commercial business unit of the Townsville City Council (The Principal), responsible for supplying potable water, collecting, and processing wastewater, and supplying recycled water, within the Townsville local government area. The nature of this business on occasion places workers near a variety of naturally occurring and manufactured gases and hazardous environments. To protect workers from exposure to these potentially toxic gases and low oxygen areas the mandatory wearing of gas monitors is required to be worn as part of normal operational procedures. To satisfy this requirement Council is seeking offers from suppliers who are capable of supplying and maintaining a fleet of personal portable gas monitors for Councils use under a long-term lease arrangement.
