North Burnett Regional Council - General Waste Collection and Recycling Tender

Summary and scope

Suitably qualified suppliers are invited to submit a Tender to provide General Waste Collection and Recycling services to North Burnett Regional Council in accordance with the Tender Documentation. This Tender is required to be conducted in accordance with the tendering requirements detailed in the Local Government Act 2009 and Local Government Regulation 2012. Currently, the following General Waste and Bulk recycling collection Services are provided in North Burnett Region as follows: Garbage collection services: Weekly General Waste 240 litre Mobile Bins There is currently no Mobile bin Recycling Collection Service. General Waste collected under the contract is to be transported to Mundubbera waste management facility. The contractor will have access to this facility from Monday to Friday to deposit any waste collected under the contract. The current general waste Mobile Bin collection contract expires on midnight 30 June 2024 The current general waste collection contract includes the following services: Residential premises including residential multiple dwellings. Commercial premises including shops and industries. Community facilities. Council facilities. Community events. Park and street bins. Skip bin collection services The current bulk waste collection contract includes the following: Biggenden waste management facility. Eidsvold waste management facility. Gayndah waste management facility. Mt Perry waste management facility. Monto waste management facility. Mundubbera waste management facility. General waste collected under the contract is to be transported to Mundubbera waste management facility. Bulk cardboard recycling collection services: The current cardboard recycling collection services include the following: Biggenden waste management facility. Gayndah waste management facility. Mundubbera waste management facility. The Contractor is to be responsible for the removing and processing of cardboard. Services to be Provided. The outcome of this Tender will be a Contract for the collection and transportation of: Mobile bins (240L/140L) including curbside, commercial premises, infirm services, community event bins, parks, and street bins. Bulk/Skip Waste bins including supply and maintaining of bins. Bulk Recycling bins including supply and maintaining of bins. It is Council’s intent to award all requested services to one Tenderer. The term of the proposed collection contract shall be seven (7) years from the date of its commencement. Council at its own discretion may extend the Contract for further three (3) years in one (1) year increments.
