Summary and scope

Toowoomba Regional Council (Council) is seeking offers from individuals, organisations or parties interested in providing conference desk services. Toowoomba Conferences was established in 2003 when local conference venues and accommodation providers approached the then Toowoomba City Council with an opportunity to add economic benefit to the region through the promotion of Toowoomba as a conference and business meeting destination. Since establishment, Toowoomba conference services have been provided external to Council with the current contract due to expire on 30th June 2023. Council is now seeking expressions of interest for the day-to-day management of the Toowoomba Conferences desk for a period of 3 years commencing on 1 July 2023. Due to the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) tax rulings and directives, only entities which the ATO regards as Contractors (as opposed to individual persons) for taxation purposes will be considered under this tender process.
