TEN/1495 Urban Roadside Mowing

Summary and scope

The services required covers all mowing and landscape maintenance activities to be applied to selected roadside service areas, including urban roundabouts and selected Parks, within Bundaberg City. Respondents would be responsible for accessing personnel and equipment appropriate and fit for the purpose of fulfilling the requirements stipulated. This would include, but not be limited to the following: o Skilled labour crew experienced in landscape management. Team of two to three employees would be desirable; o The crew would be equipped with work vehicle and haulage and carrying ability; o Traffic management devices (compliant signage and bollards); o Push mower; o Ride on mower for some locations o Edge trimmer/whipper snipper; o Edger; o Hedger; o Hand blower; o Knapsack/hand sprayer and measuring equipment (herbicide); o Basic irrigation repair kit; o Rubbish handling equipment (rubbish pickers/bags etc); o Hand tools which would include shovel/spade, secateurs, crowbar. Many of the worksites included in this contract require traffic management (of both road users and other non-road users). Contracted suppliers are obliged to comply with the standards outlined in the current versions of the Manual of Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD) AS 1742.3.
