Summary and scope

Gladstone Regional Council (GRC) operates and maintains sewer network systems throughout the Gladstone, Yarwun, Calliope, Boyne Island/Tannum Sands and Agnes Water/1770 regions. Due to several assets identified as being in poor structural and/or serviceable condition as well as observed water infiltration into the sewer network, there is a need to upgrade the existing network infrastructure whilst also allowing continued use with minimal disruptions. GRC has previously released tenders for the complete replacement of the access chambers (manholes), however, due to further market assessments GRC have altered the scope of works to only include relining or refurbishment works of the assess chambers in lieu of the complete replacements. Gladstone Regional Council (GRC) seeks to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced contractor on a Preferred Supplier Arrangement (PSA) to undertake sewer access chamber renewal and remedial works throughout the Gladstone Region, across a four (4) year program. This program is in response to several manholes being assessed to be in poor structural and/or serviceable condition, including those with observed water infiltration issues that have resulted in excessive loading on Council’s sewer network and treatment processes. The works include clearing and grubbing, site preparation, access chamber repairs, access chamber relining, site reinstatement, and ancillary works as required. This program shall consist of all labour, materials, equipment, and supervision to perform all activities necessary to complete the sewer access chamber renewal and remedial works.
