Summary and scope
The existing G3 sewer pump station at the entrance of Centro Shopping is one of four main pump stations that report to the Gympie Sewer Treatment Plant. Gympie Regional Council (GRC) is in the process of replacing these older pump stations with modern designs that comply with the latest environmental and health and safety requirements. The scope of works includes the construction of a new concrete pump station, command manhole, flow meter pit and overflow storage as per the detailed design drawings and specifications. The works will also include the mechanical connections to the existing sewer infrastructure via a tunnel bore of the existing roundabout on Centro Way and decommissioning the existing sewer pump station. The electrical installation involves the construction of a new switchboard and controls. This works will be separate to the mechanical and civil Contract.
