Summary and scope

The Torres Strait Island Regional Council is pleased to invite you to tender for the restoration of multiple roads in the Torres Strait Island Regional Council Local Government Area that were damaged as a result of the Northern and Central Western Queensland Rainfall and Flooding event, 21 April - 12 May 2022. The work involved includes, but is not limited to: Contractor Site Facilities and Camp, Provisions for traffic, Environmental Management, Erosion and Sediment Control, Relocation of services (if required), Earthworks - Preparation, excavation, subgrade treatment, backfill, Unbound and Bound Pavements, Sealed Pavements, Other works as required under the contract. The Works are spread across 10 communities located on the following 9 islands: Mua Island (Kubin and St Pauls Communities) Erub (Darnley) Island Iama (Yam) Island Mabuiag Island Masig (Yorke) Island Mer (Murray) Island Poruma (Coconut) Island Ugar (Stephen) Island Warraber (Sue) Island
