Summary and scope

Scope of role: • Deliver home-based person-centered yard and home repair and maintenance services with the purpose of improving the safety accessibility and independence of the Client by minimizing environmental health and safety hazards. Services may include but are not limited to: o weeding, spraying and mowing in gardens/lawns; o removal of garden waste; o basic carpentry; and o changing lightbulbs. • Provide Services in a timely manner and to a high standard, evidenced by satisfactory feedback from Clients. • Maintain a professional, courteous and welcoming attitude to all Clients and visitors. • Ensure that communication with Clients, the Principal and others is timely and effective. • Follow processes and procedures to ensure a consistent customer experience and ensure the Funding Guidelines are met. • Meet regularly with the Community Care Coordinator to discuss Client needs. • Maintain commitment to the rights of Clients by maintaining confidentiality, respecting the values, customs, preferences and spiritual beliefs of clients and their families/carers, and acting in such a way that the rights of Clients are protected.
