Beaudesert Town Centre Gateway Parklands Amphitheatre - Landscaping, Utilities and Building Works

Summary and scope

Scenic Rim Regional Council (SRRC) is rejuvenating Beaudesert's Town Centre in a staged series of work packages. Recently completed works include the Selwyn Street extension including the Brisbane Street roundabout, as well extensive stormwater works and a new carpark. This package of works will include the construction of an amphitheatre and associated stage structure, design and construction of a new amenities block, utilities works including electrical, communications, sewer and stormwater, as well as extensive landscaping works (hard and soft), irrigation and artwork installations. Considering the iconic nature of the project in rejuvenating a central hub for the district, quality landscaping and finishes will be particularly important to this project. This will be a central hub for the town of Beaudesert. It is to be noted that a separate package of works (not under this contract) will be undertaken in parallel carry out an extensive upgrade to Brisbane Street and Short Street. The worksite is in a busy commercial centre for Beaudesert. As such, there are construction constraints associated with the project including the requirements to maintain water, sewer, communication services, power and both pedestrian and vehicle access to all properties.
