RFT 04 of 2023 - Disposal of Land by Lease - A portion of Killara Adult Day Care and Respite Centre

Summary and scope

Killara Adult Day Care and Respite Centre operates within the Shire Northam located at 2 Burgoyne Street Northam WA. Killara have two independent purpose-built group cottages reflecting specialist disability accommodation within the grounds. Shire of Northam are proposing to lease either the Whole facility as one which includes the Administration Building, Cottage 1 and 2 and the Garage, or Cottage 1 as a stand-alone or, Cottage 2 as a stand-alone or Cottage 1 and 2 together to enable the provision of disability respite and independent living services for the community. As the proposed lease is on a Reserve, in accordance with section 18 of the Land Administration Act 1997, approval from the Minister for Lands is required. A formal lease will be drawn up by the Shire of Northam’s solicitors. Any other conditions not listed in this request for Tender will be determined upon award. Tenderers to address the following in their proposal: • Proposed annual lease fee. • Identify need for proposed use and identify community benefit and or outcome. • Intentions in relation to existing furniture and equipment including purchase cost. Killara Adult Day Care and Respite Centre will be open for inspection on the below days and times. Is this not Mandatory but encouraged. • Monday 11th September 2023 between 10am – 12pm, and • Tuesday 12th September 2023 between 10am – 12pm. Please Note due to COVID-19 restrictions only the Administration Building and Cottage 2 can be viewed. The layout of Cottage 1 is the same as Cottage 2.
