Moore Park Beach is located approximately 15km north of the city of Bundaberg, the township is located between the Burnett and Kolan Rivers. In the 2021 census the locality had a population of 2,919. Bundaberg Regional Council (BRC) has a corporate vision ‘To build Australia’s best regional Community’ and considers high-quality recreational facilities and public spaces an essential component of a vibrant community. This Invitation to Offer (ITO) seeks to engage a suitably qualified Primary Contractor, in accordance with AS4300-1995 to finalise the design and undertake the construction of the Moore Park Beach Community Hub. Tenderers are expected to supply their proposed methodology including on-site and off-site activities, how they manage the site and protect the works and adjacent infrastructure. This engagement is to finalise the design and undertake the construction of all of the buildings within the Community Hub. Council has completed a preliminary design of these facilities, which is included with this ITO. Council’s contract with the Consultant that developed the preliminary design does not include completing the For Construction documentation. Council will not be novating its design Consultant to the Primary Contractor to complete the design. The Primary Contractor engaged through this contract will be required to sub-contract a designer and complete the designs to a For Construction standard and then complete the construction.
