2324-033 Alistair Knox Park - Universal Design and Landscape Works

Summary and scope

The Council is seeking responses to this Request for Tender (RFT) 2324-033 for the provision of Alistair Knox Park - Universal Design Access and Landscaping Works. The Council is seeking to appoint a single provide to deliver the works. It is intended that the new contract arrangement will commence on or around 8 January 2024 with a practical completion date of 26 April 2024. Council is seeking responses to this Tender Specification for the construction of the Alistair Knox Park Universal Design and Landscaping Works at the Alistair Knox Park, Panther Place, Eltham. Works will involve the construction of accessible paths, accessible car parking, landscaping, service connections, installation of various park elements, landscaping, civil works, signage and other associated works, as per the accompanying technical specification, construction plans and associated schedules. This includes site excavation to established levels. Reticulation of all services including extension of new sewer (currently with Yarra Valley Water). The works are to be priced in accordance with the pricing schedule. These works are to compliment the installation of a new Changing Places and amenities facility within the park. GR Design & Construct have been awarded the contract to supply the complete amenities building. Their package includes the complete coordination from foundation works to completion of building works including all necessary documentation, approvals, permits and accreditations (changing places). This tender package is to include the coordination of all parts of the modular building and service provisions and all external works items including supply and installation of furniture items, hard and soft pavement areas and landscaping. The project is also seeking to apply various cost option to assist council in value managing the scope of works and project budget. The nominated cost option items are considered as possible exclusions which can either be applied or removed entirely.
