Bendigo has just come off another great year of growth with 4.2 million visitors to our region (5% year on year growth), 2.9 million visitor nights stayed (3% growth year on year) spending over 1 billion dollars into the economy. One of the significant drivers of visitation to our region has been for events. We have identified Winter is a great time in our event calendar for growth to attract new visitors to our region. Winter in Bendigo offers beautiful European parklands with blue sky days and crisp cool nights set against a heritage backdrop. A vibrant gastronomy scene, with hearty local food, red wine and craft beer is also in demand.
