Tender 1368 - Management of the Kilcoy Indoor Sports Centre

Summary and scope

PLEASE NOTE MANDATORY SITE INSPECTION ON TUESDAY 16 APRIL 2024 BETWEEN THE HOURS OF 10AM AND 11AM. ALL POTENTIAL MUST ATTEND THIS MEETING IN ORDER TO SUBMIT A CONFORMING TENDER. This Tender is for the management of the Kilcoy Indoor Sports Centre (KISC). Tenderers will be required to manage the KISC on Council’s behalf for the purposes of conducting community sport, recreation and well-being activities. The facility is located adjacent to the Kilcoy Aquatic Centre, the Hopetoun Sports Fields (home of the Kilcoy District Football Club), and public cricket nets and basketball facilities. The KISC was constructed in 1996 by the Kilcoy Shire Council. The facilities include on-street parking (shared with the Aquatic Centre), amenities, reception area, storage, kiosk facility, a multi-purpose room, an indoor netted court, general training areas (around the netted court) and a gymnastics area. The eastern portion of the building (approximately 400 square metres) is hired under an annual exclusive agreement to the Kilcoy Gymnastics Club. It is expected that the agreement be continued throughout the entirety of this agreement. In December 2022, Council adopted the Kilcoy Indoor Sports Centre Redevelopment Master Plan, which outlines Council’s intent for the future development of the facility. The Master Plan is available for review as an attachment to the tender documentation. Council does not have timelines for when these works will occur. Tenderers should plan for the works to disrupt operations during the term of the Management Agreement. A mandatory site inspection will be held on Tuesday 16 April 2024 between 10am and 11am to allow tenderers to view the site and clarify any issues.
