Summary and scope
The primary objective of this project is to develop a Clarence-specific climate action plan for reducing Council’s operational greenhouse gas emissions by 40% of 2016-17 levels by 2030, towards net zero emissions by 2050. Clarence City Council requires a suitable consultant to be engaged to develop a ‘climate action plan’ report, to be known as Towards Zero Emissions – Council’s Climate Action Plan (the Climate Action Plan). The report must indicate and quantify how the 40% reduction of 2016-2017 levels (i.e., 2,200 tonnes CO2-e ) of corporate greenhouse gas emissions can be achieved by 2030. The appointed consultant is to provide a presentation about the Climate Action Plan they produce, to Council staff stakeholders and to a Council workshop with elected members.
