Summary and scope

QR invites proposals from qualified consulting firms to conduct comprehensive studies of the QR Regional System leveraging a simulation-based model. Regional Capacity Study Tranche 1: South Queensland Systems (West Moreton, West, and South West Systems). The primary aim is to develop a model to assess current operational capacities, identify performance constraints, and perform an assessment on proposed actionable solutions. The project is anticipated to proceed with additional tranches. These subsequent tranches will involve conducting comprehensive studies across the Regional and Metro (SEQ) network and if applicable, the interaction between them and their various supply / logistics chain activities. Respondents to Tranche 1 (this EOI) will be shortlisted and given the opportunity to respond to future Requests for Quotations (RFQs) or Proposals (RFPs) for the remaining tranches. Note that all shortlisted respondents will be given the opportunity to respond to future tranches. Queensland Rail is seeking to build capability in simulation event modelling within the organisation. Suppliers should demonstrate their ability to train and upskill QR personnel in Anylogic while developing the model. Respondents may nominate whether they offer standalone training and upskilling services for the development of simulation models within the Anylogic system.
